Well there are only 3 weeks left of school, and this chick is missing three of those days spending 5 nights away with Miss J in a tropical destination! Let me just tell you I am VERY excited!
Softball ended just over a month ago, and we had the best season of my coaching career, and the best season the school has had in 15+ years. We lost in heartbreaking style in the game before the district finals to the eventual champions. It was a great season, with all the pitfalls and drama that comes with every season!
Last weekend I completed a project for my dear coworker who is retiring and I will miss desperately next year! (I made it out of al of her old spirit shirts) Here is a picture of her with the completed quilt.
I absolutely love the way it came out and so did everyone at school! It was the hit of the week. It is double sided and it makes it even better!
Here are some more pictures of the quilt and the label...
Here are some other projects that I have been working on...
holiday appropriate pillowcases for mom's round pillows and my pillow...love it!
I also made crayons! I took all of the little pieces that my students broke into pieces and melted them into new crayons!
I got this mold at Ikea for 1.99...
If you are going to make them it is hard to clean up the mold afterwards, and I would suggest using silicon because it made it easier to pop them out. Also try to keep the colors similar otherwise you will end up with muddy brown crayons... but it was super fun! Do it!
Ok enough for now, tomorrow I will be back I hope!
